Heavy Topics easily staged

Bayer Science Day, Cologne

Exhibition concept for the Bayer Science Day - Neither partition walls nor stand systems were necessary. Instead, the approximately 100 research results were staged by balloons of up to one and a half meters in size. SOMAA developed an unconventional space concept for the Bayer Science Day - an in-house day event for 700 guests of Bayer AG, during which the most promising and successful research projects from the various subgroups are exhibited and awarded.

Pulled out of the air?

Helium was the main material used in the implementation of the exhibition design for the Bayer Science Day in the Palladium Cologne. The spatial structure literally dissolved in the air at the end of the event.

“Often hard conditions are responsible the trigger that lead to extraordinary and convincingly creative solutions.”

Easy hovering

Hidden invisibly, the helium-filled balloons carried the presentation boards. The result was a lively, light spatial structure, whose gentle movement made one curious and relaxed the mood. The lighting in the hall gave the more than 200 white balloons an additional dynamic due to the changing colors in discreet corporate colors.

“We have to keep learning and learning, simple and open as children think.”
